From Forgotten to Functional — A Garden Shed Reimagined

A garden shed should feel useful, inviting, and worth stepping into.

This once forgotten 8x10 ft shed was reimagined into a modern artisan workspace, rebuilt from the ground up and expanded to 10x12 ft to support both garden storage and carpentry work.

The transformation focused on bringing life and intention back into the space. Reclaimed windows were added on three sides, allowing soft natural light to move across the walls throughout the day. The entire interior was limewashed by hand using Color Atelier Cypress Ink, layered in 200%, 150%, and 100% depths to create an organic green finish inspired by nature.

The handcrafted renovation blends utility with artistry. Venetian textured walls add subtle movement and tactility, while Flooret Nakan signature vinyl plank flooring brings warmth and durability underfoot. Industrial gas pipe shelving introduces contrast and function, balanced by copper pendant light fixtures that add a soft glow and character to the space.

Electricity was installed to support lighting and tools, allowing the shed to function as a true workspace. Every material was chosen to support daily use while maintaining a calm, grounded aesthetic.

The result is a purpose built garden shed that feels thoughtful and alive. A small structure transformed into a refined workspace that reflects craftsmanship, sustainability, and the timeless design approach behind Limewashed by Ob.

A space rebuilt not just to store tools,

but to hold ideas, process, and care.
